Euthis Organic Single Estate has received an ATHENA Silver Medal at the ATHENA International Olive Oil Competition 2026. This award provides valuable independent confirmation of the quality of our organic extra virgin olive oil.

The quality of true extra virgin olive oil begins in the grove. However, international competitions provide an important opportunity to confirm that quality. Experienced tasters and olive oil experts evaluate each participating oil.

We are delighted that an international panel recognised Euthis Organic Single Estate at ATHENA 2026. The competition took place in Greece, the historic birthplace of olive oil culture.

Our olive oil achieved an excellent score of 83 points. As a result, it missed the Gold Medal by only 2 points.

This recognition is a tremendous honour for us. Moreover, it confirms the value of careful production and our unwavering commitment to quality. Every stage receives close attention, from the olive grove to the finished oil.

Why the ATHENA Silver Medal Matters

The ATHENA International Olive Oil Competition focuses exclusively on olive oil quality. Its 11th edition took place in Athens, Greece, from 2 to 4 May 2026.

ATHENA welcomes olive oils from leading producing regions around the world. Therefore, an ATHENA Silver Medal provides meaningful international recognition of an olive oil’s quality and sensory character.

How ATHENA Assesses Olive Oil Quality

An international panel of experienced sensory experts assesses every participating olive oil. The panel brings together judges with accreditation from the International Olive Council and other recognised organisations.

The judges evaluate the aroma, flavour, balance and overall harmony of each oil. Their assessment focuses on the sensory qualities found in the olive oil itself.

In addition, the competition applies strict entry requirements. Each olive oil must come from the most recent harvest and represent a single production batch. Producers must also provide a chemical analysis from an accredited laboratory.
